I didn’t grow up in leadership or political stock. I’m a council estate kid who left school with a few GCSEs, became a dad at 20, and started out working in a bank call centre. I grafted my way up to leading major projects — until the 2008 crash knocked everything sideways.
Since then, I’ve built businesses, scaled some, failed at others, and learnt that success doesn’t always feel like winning. One year I sold my company for over $1 million. Two years later, I nearly ended it all. I learnt even when things look good on paper, they can feel completely broken inside.
Now I work with Labour MPs, Metro Mayors, campaigners, civic leaders and bold businesses. Through The Change Arc, I help people lead with more care, conviction and connection. And importantly, build trust in places politics and leadership often forget.
I write about leadership, mental health, fatherhood, fairness and what it takes to rebuild trust from the ground up - in communities, in politics, and in ourselves.
